Informatie De Verenigde Staten hebben hun 50e staat, Hawaii, midden in de Stille Oceaan liggen. We grijpen de open dag van MCAS Kaneohe Bay, 29 en 30 september 2012, aan voor een reis die deze eilandengroep in haar programma heeft zitten. Het bezoek aan deze staat zal gecombineerd worden met een bezoek aan een paar andere staten van de Verenigde Staten. Vanwege de grote afstand naar Hawaii hebben we een wat langere tour samengesteld. Het programma kent heel veel hoogtepunten!
Routebeschrijving We vliegen op vrijdag 28 september vanaf Amsterdam richting Honolulu en we komen op maandag 15 oktober 2012 weer terug in Nederland. We beginnen met 5 dagen op Oahu (Hawaii). We bezoeken de open dag van MCAS Kaneohe Bay op 29 en 30 september. Daarna blijven we nog 3 dagen om bij de andere militaire vliegvelden te fotograferen en om een aantal toeristische highlights mee te pikken. Op donderdag 4 oktober vliegen we dan weer richting Los Angeles. Voor vrijdag (5 oktober) proberen we voor iedereen een plaatsje te bemachtigen voor de geplande Edwards AFB tour (fotograferen is niet toegestaan). Daarna rijden we door richting San Francisco. Op zaterdag 6 en zondag 7 oktober 2012 bezoeken we de Fleet Week activiteiten in San Francisco (www.fleetweek.us). Op maandag 8 oktober is het Columbus Day en we zullen op deze dag uiteraard een paar parades bekijken maar ook een kijkje nemen bij Travis AFB en Moffett. Op dinsdag 9 oktober hopen we een bezoek te hebben op NAS Fallon (nog niet definitief bevestigd) waarna we op woensdag 10 en donderdag 11 oktober 2012 twee dagen naar Nellis AFB gaan om de vliegbewegingen aldaar te bewonderen. Het laatste hoogtepunt van de reis wordt de vliegshow op MCAS Miramar. We gaan op vrijdag 12 en zaterdag 13 oktober naar deze show (inclusief de twilight show op zaterdagavond). Op zondag 14 oktober is het dan weer tijd om terug te vliegen, om op maandag 15 oktober weer terug te komen in Nederland. Reissom De prijs voor deze reis bedraagt € 2849,- per persoon. Verzekeringen Het is mogelijk om, via 4Aviation, een reis- en/of annuleringsverzekering af te sluiten. De reisverzekering kunnen we alleen voor Nederlands ingezetenen aanbieden.

Information The 50th state of the United Stated, Hawaii, is situated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The air show at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, 29 and 30 September 2012, triggers us to organise a tour that includes the Hawaiian Islands. The visit will be combined with a visit to a couple of other states of the United States. Because of the distance to Hawaii, we have put together a somewhat longer tour. The itinenrary includes a lot of highlights! Itinerary Following is a preliminary schedule. On Friday 28 September we will depart Amsterdam for Honolulu. We will arrive back in the Netherlands on Monday 15 October 2012. We will start with 5 days at Oahu (Hawaii). We will visit the air show at MCAS Kaneohe Bay on b. After that, we will stay for another 3 days to take pictures near the other military air bases and to visit a number of touristic highlights. On Thursday 4 October we will fly to Los Angeles. For Friday (5 October) we hope to obtain permission for all on the group to visit Edwards AFB during their regular tour (photography not allowed). After that we will drive towards San Francisco. On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October 2012 we will visit the Fleet Week activities in San Francisco (www.fleetweek.us). Columbus Day is scheduled for Monday 8 October and we will visit a couple of parades, but also have a look at Travis AFB and Moffett. We hope to have to base visit at NAS Fallon on Tuesday 9 October (not confirmed yet), after which we will go to Nellis AFB on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 October 2012 to witness the flying activities there. The final highlight of the tour will be the air show at MCAS Miramar. We will visit this show on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 October (including the twilight show on Saturday evening). By Sunday 14 October, time has come to head back home again. We will land in the Netherlands on Monday 15 October. Tour cost Price for this tour is € 2849,- per person. This price includes:
