Following is a preliminary schedule.
We are offering 6 tours; 4 from Beijing and 2 from Shanghai. During all tours the visit to the Wonsan Air Festival on 23 and 24 September 2017 is the main event.
On Saturday 23 September we will enjoy the first day of the Wonsan Air Festival. Today is also the day that the Korean People’s Army Air Force will present itself in the air and on the ground (think of MiG-15, MiG-21, MiG-23, Su-25, Yak-18, An-2, MD-500 and Mi-8). Furhtermore Air Koryo will demonstrate its aircraft (IL-18, IL-62, IL-76, Tu-134, Tu-154 en An-24). The most recent details are given here www.wonsanairfestival.com.
Also on Sunday 24 September we will go to the Wonsan Air Festival. On 24 September the program foresees a continuation of the demonstrations by the Korean People’s Army Air Force and Air Koryo. Also today everybody can look forward to parachute jumping, ballooning and demonstrations by model aircraft.
This year there are options again to enjoy pleasure flights on the special aircraft types of Air Koryo (Ilyushin IL-18, IL-62, IL-76, Tupolev Tu-134, Tu-154, Antonov An-24 and Mil Mi-17, to be booked ahead). This year, these flights will take place on Monday 25 September. Those that do not take the pleasure flights can view and photograph all flying activities today or enjoy a sightseeing programme in the Wonsan area.

Before this tour we also offer an option to book a short program in Beijing for € 435,- extra.
Depending on your tour option for North Korea you will then arrive in Beijing on Tuesday 19 September or Wednesday 20 September. After arrival you then have a program in Beijing for Tuesday and Wednesday (19 and 20 September) or Wednesday and Thursday (20 and 21 September).
We will visit the Datangshan museum, the Great Wall of China, the Tiananmen square and the Forbidden city. After two nights in a hotel in Beijing the tour to North Korea then starts on Thursday (21 September) or Friday (22 September).
The China extension is also including all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Furthermore the fee for your DPRK tourist visa (€ 50,-) is included in the China extension.
This short stay in China means that residents from more than 50 countries do not need to apply for visa for China (ref www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/free-72hour/).
Finally there is an option to also include your flight Amsterdam-Beijing for € 675,– extra.
This is the most extensive and easiest option. In addition to the program in China, we then also book a flight to and from Beijing for you. Departure will then be on Monday 18 or Tuesday 19 September and you will return to Amsterdam either on Tuesday 26, Wednesday 27 or Friday 29 September 2017 (depending on the length of your Wonsan Air Festival tour).
