Air Tattoo op RAF Fairford. De bussen vertrokken stipt om 19.00 uur uit Utrecht om vervolgens de overige passagiers in Breda op te pikken. Na een soepel vervolg van de reis stonden we ruim op tijd bij de poorten van het vliegveld.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks dat de omvang van de show een stuk beperkter was dan eerdere edities, mag de Royal International Air Tattoo nog steeds de titel \u2018grootste militaire vliegshow ter wereld\u2019 met trots dragen. Een enorme static display, gecombineerd met een grote vliegshow, maken het evenement altijd de moeite waard voor luchtvaartenthousiasten.<\/p>\n<p>De interessantste deelnemers van deze editie waren ongetwijfeld de Algerijnse Hercules, de Nieuw-Zeelandse Boeing 757 en de Braziliaanse C295. Daarnaast waren, zoals altijd, heel veel types van de USAF en de RAF vertegenwoordigd. Een ander hoogtepunt was ook de show van de enige nog vliegende Vulcan ter wereld.<\/p>\n<p>Het weer heeft de hele dag redelijk meegewerkt. Af en toe was de bewolking wat dreigend, maar het heeft geen druppel geregend.<\/p>\n<p>Na een hele dag vertoeven op het terrein van de vliegshow keerden de bijna 100 deelnemers tegen 19.00 uur weer terug naar de bus voor de terugreis. Ook deze terugreis verliep vlot, zodat iedereen op zondagmorgen weer volgens de oorspronkelijke planning netjes in Breda of Utrecht kon worden afgezet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<\/div><br
