class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Fairford 2018<\/h2>\n<p>In 2018 reisden we voor de 10e keer op rij naar de Royal International Air Tattoo op RAF Fairford. Vanwege de viering van RAF100 was er veel interesse voor onze busreizen en we waren in de gelegenheid om diverse opties aan te bieden om de show te bezoeken.<\/p>\n<p>Omdat de show dit jaar ook op vrijdag was (een volledige showdag), besloten we ook om op vrijdag te bezoeken. De deelnemers aan deze coaches bezochten RIAT op vrijdag en zaterdag of gingen voor het hele weekend (vrijdag, zaterdag, zondag en maandag).<\/p>\n<p>Het weer op vrijdag (13 juli) was niet zo perfect als gehoopt. De bijna eindeloze periode van warm weer en zon werd vandaag onderbroken door wat bewolking en een korte periode van slecht weer. Helaas viel deze periode van slecht weer precies samen met de geplande RAF100 flypast, die daardoor helaas werd geannuleerd.<\/p>\n<p>Op deze vrijdag begonnen nog eens vier bussen hun reis naar Fairford, terwijl de twee die de dag ervoor waren vertrokken die avond belandden in Reading (niet in Swindon) om de deelnemers voor de nacht in hun hotel af te zetten.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-pqptwt-6bd2824bcf843b17ddbfb43aadba1a1c'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-2-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-2' aria-controls='tab-id-2-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >14 juli 2018<\/div><div id='tab-id-2-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-2-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Op zaterdag 14 juli waren de weersomstandigheden weer erg goed en alle bussen waren op tijd bij de ingang gearriveerd om geen relevante tijd te missen.<\/p>\n<p>De vliegshow van vandaag was interessant en werd afgewerkt in alleen maar zon. Interessante items waren de Canadese CF-18, de formatie van negen RAF Typhoons en de Oekra\u00efense Su-27 Flanker natuurlijk. Het verrassingsbezoek van de B-2 was een beetje teleurstellend (slechts \u00e9\u00e9n flyby en veel te hoog).<\/p>\n<p>Aan het einde van de dag splitsen de zes 4Aviation-bussen op de parkeerplaats zich op. De twee touringcars die op vrijdag arriveerden gingen naar huis, hetzelfde werd gedaan door twee bussen die deelnemers hadden gebracht voor allen de show op zaterdag. Een bus reed naar een hotel in de buurt van Londen, omdat daarin mensen zaten die op zondag naar de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4aviation.nl\/nl\/reports\/report-duxford-2018\/\">Flying Legends Show<\/a> in Duxford zouden gaan. De laatste bus ging weer naar Reading voor nog een nacht in een hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Tegen die tijd was nog een laatste bus onderweg naar Fairford; daarin deelnemers die de RIAT op zondag en maandag wilden bezoeken.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-7dfob1-07b2373c7ad06c0ca7f9a745cf2940f9'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-3-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-3' aria-controls='tab-id-3-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >15 juli 2018<\/div><div id='tab-id-3-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-3-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Op zondag (15 juli) waren de twee bussen van 4Aviation weer vroeg in Fairford aanwezig. Vandaag was weer een nieuwe dag met zeer goed weer. Bijna te goed, omdat de temperaturen erg hoog waren.<\/p>\n<p>Het vliegprogramma van de zondag was grotendeels vergelijkbaar met de zaterdag, met enkele kleine wijzigingen. Voor degenen die er al voor de derde waren gaf dit de mogelijkheid om foto&#8217;s te maken in andere lichtomstandigheden. Deze dag bracht de laatste keer dat een RAF-tornado meedeed aan de vliegshow tijdens een RIAT.<\/p>\n<p>De vliegshow eindigde net na 18.00 uur lokale tijd en de twee bussen om 19.00 uur op weg naar het hotel voor de laatste nacht.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-665gml-d474ba3e8866cb0e2fd6cbd6c9da667f'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-4-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-4' aria-controls='tab-id-4-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >16\/17 juli 2018<\/div><div id='tab-id-4-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-4-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Maandag 16 juli was de vertrekdag. Dit jaar koos een grotere groep dan normaal (ongeveer 30 van de meer dan 130 mensen die 4Aviation had) voor Park &amp; View West in plaats van Park &amp; View East. Beide locaties zijn op de dag van vertrek open voor fotografen en beide hebben hun eigen voor- en nadelen. Als je meerdere keren naar RIAT bent geweest, is een bezoek aan P&amp;V West zeker een interessant alternatief voor andere foto&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>De maandag was een dag vol actie, met tientallen vliegtuigen die de \u00e9\u00e9n na de ander vertrokken. Geen tijd om te relaxen tot na de middag, als de situatie een beetje tot rust komt. De zon was vandaag weer meer dan aanwezig.<\/p>\n<p>Tegen 16.00 uur begonnen we aan onze terugreis en pikten onderweg de mensen op bij P&amp;V West. We hadden het geluk dat we een eerdere afvaart met de ferry konden pakken en de laatste deelnemers kwamen op dinsdag 17 juli vroeg op de gewenste uitstapplaats
