class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Griekenland II 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Na de succesvolle eerste tour, in de eerste week van april, \u00a0naar Griekenland om het laagvliegen rondom de oefening Iniochos gade te slaan was het de beurt aan een grote groep om de eerste spottersdag op de basis Andravida te bezoeken.<\/p>\n<p>Wereldwijd zijn er maar weinig mogelijkheden voor de luchtvaartenthousiasten om operationele vliegtuigen van verschillende interessante luchtmachten van zo dichtbij te kunnen fotograferen. Net na de middag koos onze blauwe Boeing 737 het luchtruim om drie uur later op de internationale luchthaven van Athene neer te strijken. Na ophalen van de bagage ging het richting de luxe bus die al klaar stond bij de terminal. Onze chauffeur bracht ons nog even langs een supermarkt voor een paar inkopen voor de komende dag voordat we op weg gingen naar het hotel in Patras. Rond 20:30 was iedereen razendsnel ingecheckt en waren de eerste biertjes en maaltijden al besteld.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-lxbm62jq-459e75a97a02e9f9763ad4655fbc1aa1'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-2-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-2' aria-controls='tab-id-2-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >10 april 2024<\/div><div id='tab-id-2-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-2-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Op woensdag 10 april 2024 was het nog een uurtje rijden naar Andravida AB en daar kwamen we rond 08:00uur aan. Er was al een lange rij, maar gelukkig werden de Nederlanders eruit gefilterd en kregen we, samen met de Engelsen, een eigen tafel voor de incheck. De overige nationaliteiten in de groep werden op strategische manier in de andere lange rij geplaatst en waren ook snel aan de beurt. Met een aantal bussen gingen we naar de zuidoost kant van de basis waar we allemaal op tijd waren om de eerste jets, Griekse Mirage 2000\u2019s, te zien oplijnen en take-off gaan. Dat is een heel mooi begin van de dag.<\/p>\n<p>Snel volgden Spaanse Hornet, Franse Marine, Griekse en Qatari Rafales, Roemeense en Griekse F-16\u2019s en ze kwamen allemaal ook weer terug met heel\u00a0 mooi licht op de machines.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna werd het heel even rustig en kwamen de eerste bussen om de fotografen naar de westkant van de basis te brengen, nabij de verkeerstoren, voor het beste licht tijdens de middagmissies. Er klonk echter ook het geluid van opstartende Phantoms en het licht aan de oostkant was nog steeds beter. Het geluid van de Phantoms werd verstomd door twaalf startende Griekse F-16\u2019s en een kwartet Eurofighters uit Saudi-Arabi\u00eb, waarna de Phantoms aan de beurt waren om het luchtruim te kiezen. Daarna snel met de bus naar de andere plek waar nog ruim tijd was om een lokaal gestookt kebabje en een drankje te nuttigen voordat de toestellen uit de laatste wave weer landen en de Eurofighters en Phantoms weer heerlijk voor ons langs kwamen taxi\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<p>De dag was nog lang niet voorbij en nu was het de beurt aan nog veel meer van bovenstaande toestellen voor de middag missies. Iets vroeger dan gepland werden we verzocht het vliegveld te verlaten en we konden terugzien op een zeer geslaagde dag met stralen weer.<\/p>\n<p>De touringcar bracht ons terug naar het hotel waar de meeste een heerlijk maaltijd genoten en een enkeling ook nog de stad inging om te kijken hoe het er daar aan toe gaat.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-lxbm62jq-fae960eaf92a8b97cc014d63d066bfd5'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-3-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-3' aria-controls='tab-id-3-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >11 april 2024<\/div><div id='tab-id-3-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-3-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Donderdag 11 april 2024 was alweer de laatste dag en we vertrokken rond 08:00 uur richting Athene om daar eerst het luchtmacht museum op Tatoi te bezoeken. Dit is ook een operationele basis en we zagen nog enkele M-18 Dromaders en, heel bijzonder, nog een T-41D zagen vliegen. Bij navraag aan de luchtmacht begeleiders konden we ook nog het museum opslag en restauratie terrein bezoeken, waarna koers werd gezet naar het internationale vliegveld voor de terugreis. We zaten al redelijk ruim in de tijd en dat werd alleen maar meer aangezien onze blauwe Boeing 2,5uur later vertrok dan gepland. Hadden we dat eerder geweten, waren we na het museum nog even naar het centrum van Athene gereden, maar dat was geen optie. We konden nu nog wel vanuit de terminal een stukje lopen en de twee aanwezige Mildenhall KC-135\u2019s en ook twee Saudische C-130\u2019s bekijken en vastleggen.<\/p>\n<p>Uiteindelijk vertrokken we net voor 20:00 en kwamen vlak voor 22:00 op Amsterdam aan. Een aantal deelnemers hadden door de late aankomst hun vlucht gemist en die werden nog even op weg geholpen, waarbij de KLM niet de behoefte voelde om iets te doen, voordat de trein naar huis werd genomen.<\/p>\n<p>Het was weer een korte, maar krachtige tour, waarbij de Griekse Luchtmacht zich weer van haar beste kant had laten zien. Hele mooie bezoekers voor de oefening en toegang op de basis tot een paar hele mooie plekken. Hopelijk ook volgend jaar weer, alhoewel er wel geruchten gaan dat de basis tijdelijk gesloten gaat worden voor verbouwingen rondom de komst van de F-35.
