The 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force will be celebrated during the 2022 Aviation Nation air show at Nellis AFB from 4 to 6 November 2022. Since the 50th anniversary show at Nellis was very interesting, we surely don´t want to miss this one.

4Aviation intends to organise a tour to visit the show and spend up to roughly a week in Nevada and Arizona to enjoy also spending some time near the various bases in the area (Luke AFB, Davis Monthan AFB, MCAS Yuma, etc.). We have visited this area various times before in; 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Sunday 30 October we will fly to the USA (Phoenix) and return to the Netherlands (from Las Vegas) on Tuesday 8 November 2022.

We will begin the journey in the wider Phoenix/Tucson area (Luke AFB, Davis-Monthan AFB etc), with the second part of the journey set around Nellis AFB.

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 2249,- per person. This price includes:

Flight from The Netherlands to the USA
Flight from the USA to The Netherlands
Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
All transportation in the USA
€ 7,50 contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from the USA. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 1824,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 400,-.

It was not my first trip with 4Aviation. As before, I experienced this tour operator as highly professional, they know exactly the right spots where you can take the best pictures and, directions are preset-up in their GPS’s, resulting in no time loss to go around the air base. User friendly, because the tour leader is regularly consulting the participants where to go, and what to do. […] For me, it was also big fun to meet other friendly spotters and exchange experiences and ideas.
