The annual EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh Wittman Regional Airport (WI) is the gathering for all aviation enthusiasts. Thousands of aircraft visit this show with hundreds of ‘Warbirds’ being present as well as dozens of active military aircraft. It’s not called the biggest air show in the world for nothing!

We plan to visit the show from Sunday until Saturday, so you will not miss a thing. These days are packed and you can enjoy yourself from early morning until late in the evening. Travel dates are from 22 to 31 July 2023.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Saturday 22 July we will fly to the USA and return to the Netherlands on Monday 31 July 2023.

During the tour we will visit the show every day from Sunday 23 July. The event has not officially started on Sunday, but the arrivals are a treat to witness. From Monday to Saturday we will then visit the show as long as we want.

You can choose between staying at a hotel in Green Bay or at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Staying at the University (no air conditioning) has the advantage that you are close to the EAA AirVenture site and that you are very flexible to go where and when you want, using the shuttle bus.

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 2599,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from The Netherlands to the USA
  • Flight from the USA to The Netherlands
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in the USA
  • € 7,50 contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from the USA. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 1949,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 495,-.

Not included:

  • individual travel insurance
  • entrance fees for museums or airshows
  • all meals
  • all personal expenditures

Insurances (Dutch conditions apply)

It is possible to arrange a travel and/or cancellation insurance via 4Aviation. The travel insurance is only available to residents of The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We can offer cancellation insurance to all.

Insurance is provided by Europeesche Verzekeringen and Allianz Global Assistance. We mediate in insurance policies and receive commission from Europeesche Verzekeringen and Allianz Global Assistance. Their complaints handling can be found here: Europeesche and Allianz.
