In September 2026, we’re planning a tour to Czechia for about a week for an exercise, a fun open house, and a peek over the fence at some air bases. In recent years, the Czechs have purchased several (smaller) aircraft types that aren’t often seen abroad, such as the AH-1W and UH-1Y, both in a cool camouflage scheme, as well as the Enstrom 480, Zlin, and brand-new L-39NG training aircraft. A good reason to go there again.
Between 6-18 September 2026, the Ample Strike exercise will be held at the Náměšť and Čáslav airbases. The exercise isn’t very large, but in the past, there have been some interesting participants, and you can take some great photos of their own aircraft. The NATO and Czech Air Force Days will be held at Ostrava Airport on 19-20 September 2026.
