On Thursday 12 July the first two coaches departed the Netherlands on their way to the UK. The participants on these coaches were either visiting RIAT on Friday and Saturday or visiting for the whole weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the Monday).
The Friday weather (13 July) was not as brilliant as hoped for. The almost endless period of hot weather and sunshine was interrupted today with some clouds and a short period of bad weather. Unfortunately this period of bad weather coincided with the scheduled RAF100 flypast, which was then cancelled.
On this Friday another four coaches started their journey towards Fairford, while the two that had left the day before ended up in Reading (not Swindon this year) that evening to drop the participants at their hotel for the night.
