In April 2017 4Aviation was able to join a group of international journalists to visit several facilities of the Ukrainian armed forces and government agencies. The representatives of 4Aviation regularly attend press days and press tours to report on the units for future publications. Obtaining access to these facilities, with the intention to write some articles,  is always a time consuming and final permission is only given at the last minute. This week we visited several air force, army and emergency services installations in the north and south of this beautiful country.

On Sunday 23 April the international group gathered at a Kiev hotel near the international airport. The group got acquainted and prepared for the week to come.

On Monday 24 April we left the hotel early for the fairly short drive to Nizhin. After a check at the main gate we immediately drove to the flightline. We were blessed with blue skies all day, all week actually, and started photographing the aircraft of the Emergency Unit on the flightline and in the hangar. Just before our arrival a Mi-8 had departed, there were no further movements that day. In the afternoon we drove south to Mirgorod, our main target for the next day.
