On 11 May 2024, the Croatian Air Force will officially welcome the Rafale in Croatia during an air show in Velika Gorica / Zagreb – Franjo Tuđman. During the same event, they will solemnly say farewell to the MiG-21 Fishbed.

Although we could not get it confirmed, we would be very surprised of no MiG-21 would take to the air during this event. Therefore, you can consider this to be the last option for an operational MiG-21 on the European continent.

We will organise a short LAND ONLY tour to this event. It will also be first 4Aviation visit to this country.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Thursday 9 May everybody will fly to Croatia and return home on Sunday 12 May 2024.

This tour is offered as a LAND ONLY tour only. Therefore, we will meet in Zagreb on Thursday 9 May. Your arrival time is not really relevant, since we can pick you up from the airport (at certain times in the afternoon).

The plan at this moment is as follows:

  • Thursday 9 May 2024: arrive in Zagreb
  • Friday 10 May 2024: watch arrivals and rehearsals from the outside
  • Saturday 11 May 2024: visit show AirVG2024
  • Sunday 12 May 2024: departure from Zagreb

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 495,- per person. This price includes:

  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in Croatia
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

In this case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Croatia yourself. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 225,-.
