Andravida – PhanCon – July 2024

Information

The third European edition of the PhanCon (Phantom Conference) will be held at Andravida in Greece on 10 and 11 July 2024. PhanCon is a worldwide gathering of F-4 enthusiasts organised by the F-4 Phantom II Society.

This year, PhanCon will offer the opportunity to admire (see, feel, hear and capture) the last F-4s in service with the Hellenic Air Force. 338 MDV at Andravida is the last unit of the HAF operating the type.

We have attended two more PhanCon’s, in 2016 at Holloman (NM) and in 2022 at Andravida. Reports of these tours are here and here.

You need to be a member of the F-4 Phantom II Society to visit. We plan to organise a short tour to Greece to attend the conference for those that want us to organise accommodation and transportation.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Tuesday 9 July 2024 we will fly to Greece and return to the Netherlands on Friday 12 July 2024.

The plan at this moment is as follows:

  • Tuesday 9 July 2024: Travel to Greece
  • Wednesday 10 July 2024: Visit Phancon24 at Andravida Airbase
  • Thursday 11 July 2024: Visit Phancon24 at Andravida Airbase
  • Friday 12 July 2024: Travel to The Netherlands

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 1175,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from The Netherlands to Greece
  • Flight from Greece to The Netherlands
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in Greece
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Greece. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 775,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 225,-.
