Itinerary
The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.
On Thursday 25 July we will fly to Latvia (and travel to Lithuania from there) and return to the Netherlands on Sunday 28 July 2019.
On Friday 26 July we will watch the rehearsals and arrivals, from the outside for now. On Saturday (27 July) we will obviously visit the show itself and we are counting on it that we will be granted access to the area for photographers. Since we are travelling via Latvia, we will try to visit the museum at Riga Airport as well.
The organisers of the show state the following: LTU Air Forces are celebrating its centenary on March 12, but on July 27 in Siauliai we will have an Air Show „Falcon Wings“ dedicated for the same occasion. We expect around 18 different nations. We plan to have a special area for photographers, but no facilities.
We think it will be a very nice short tour to an unusual destination, with interesting participants (the Lithuanian Air Force alone can show interesting items). Unfortunately the airline ticket prices are a bit expensive.
Tour cost
Price for this tour is € 679,- per person. This price includes:
- Flight from The Netherlands to Latvia
- Flight from Latvia to The Netherlands
- Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
- All transportation in Latvia and Lithuania
- € 15,- contribution to GGTO
You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Latvia. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 379,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 125,-.
