Off we go
Around 10 am on Sunday 1 March 2026, the 6 travelers for the pre-Iniochos lowfly expedition were ready at the familiar meeting point at Schiphol Plaza. It turned out to be relatively quiet at the airport. Check-in, baggage drop, and security all went quickly. Despite a gate change, our flight to Athens departed on time. At Athens airport, two more participants traveling to Athens independently joined the group. Picking up the rental van went smoothly. After loading the luggage and assigning seats, we soon drove via the toll road towards Diakopto, where we would be staying for the coming week. Upon arrival at the hotel, the room keys were already waiting, so check-in went very quickly. After putting the luggage in the rooms, the restaurant was immediately tested for a drink and dinner. This was certainly appreciated after the journey. During dinner, the schedule for Monday and the following days was discussed, after which the bottle of homemade limoncello was quickly emptied.
