Information

The 2023 edition of the ever popular Tiger Meet will be held in Italy. Gioia del Colle Airbase is probably the place to be, and 4Aviation will be there of course! The exercise will be from 2 until 13 October. If all goes according to plan, a spotters day will be organised on 6 October and an air show on 8 October, that we both plan to visit.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

We will fly to Italy on Thursday 5 October 2023 and return to the Netherlands on Monday 9 October 2023 (we land after midnight, so actually the return is on Tuesday 10 October).

On Friday, 6 October, there will be a spotters day. On Sunday, 8 October, an air show is planned in honor of the exercise. We also have time to enjoy the participants in the exercise from the outside.

The preparation by the Italians is unfortunately taking a bit longer than we would like, but we are sure that everything will work out in the end. This also applies to registrations for the spotters day. A similar situation occurred earlier this year at the open day at Pratica di Mare and then everything turned out ok as well.

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 875,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from The Netherlands to Italy
  • Flight from Italy to The Netherlands
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in Italy
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Italy. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 775,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 325,-.

Not included:

  • individual travel insurance
  • entrance fees for museums or airshows
  • all meals
  • all personal expenditures

Insurances (Dutch conditions apply)

It is possible to arrange a travel and/or cancellation insurance via 4Aviation. The travel insurance is only available to residents of The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We can offer cancellation insurance to all.

Insurance is provided by a.s.r. and Allianz Global Assistance. We mediate in insurance policies and receive commission from a.s.r. and Allianz Global Assistance. Their complaints handling can be found here: a.s.r. and Allianz.
