With Phantom operations nearing the end, we decided to organise a dedicated Phantom tour. A group of 16 people enjoyed a week of JASDF F-4 operations.
It turned out to be a very successful week!
With only a couple of months left for the F-4 in JASDF service, we decided to organise an extra tour to Japan, to catch some proper Rhino action! Main goal was to photograph Phantoms of all remaining units. The tour filled up quickly and on Saturday 1 February 2020 a group of dedicated photographers gathered at Schiphol for the long flight to Tokyo. Along the way, and after arrival in Japan (Sunday 2 February), we met the rest of the group. After picking up the cars, we headed out to the Science Museum of Map and Survey, where a Beech 65P is preserved. After we finished up here, we drove to our hotel to get some well deserved rest.
