TLP 26/4 & San Javier

Information

For many years, the Tactical Leadership Program (TLP) has been organized at the Spanish base Los Llanos, near Albacete. During this program, young pilots are trained to become Mission Commanders and bring their own aircraft, which often results in an impressive collection of NATO aircraft at this base, as was the case for the 26/4 edition.

The edition runs from 12 November 2026, through 4 December 2026 but the aircraft will only be in operation between 23 November and 3 December.

4Aviation is attending the TLP for the first time and has put together a great program.

The TLP flies one mission per day around 14:30-15:00. In the morning, there are normally activities at the large maintenance center on the base and at Airbus, which performs final assembly and maintenance for virtually all Airbus helicopters in Spain.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

During this tour, we will visit the TLP at Albacete-Los Llanos and San Javier for the training fleet. Both from the fence.

On Sunday 22 November 2026 we will fly from Eindhoven to Alicante and return to Eindhoven on Thursday 26 November 2026.

The plan at this moment is as follows:

Sunday 22 November 2026: fly to Alicante, Spain
Monday 23 November 2026: spend the morning at San Javier, afternoon at Albacete
Tuesday 24 November 2026: full day at Albacete
Wednesday 25 November 2026: full day at Albacete
Thursday 26 November 2026: Morning and early afternoon at San Javier, then to Alicante for fight home

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 995,- per person. This price includes:

Flight from Eindhoven to Alicante
Flight from Alicante to Eindhoven
Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
All transportation in Spain.
€ 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also start the tour from an airport close(r) to you. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Alicante yourself. The price for the tour without airline tickets (we call this the ‘land only’ version of the tour) is € 795,- per person. If you need help booking your airline tickets, we are happy to assist. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 175,-.
