Military aviation – November/December 2026

Information

During this tour to Japan, we’ll focus on the south of the main island of Honshu and the southern island of Kyushu. The tour is expected to last approximately ten days, during which we’ll visit bases like JASDF Nyutabaru (F-15 & F-35B), JASDF Tsuiki (F-2), MCAS Iwakuni (US Navy & Marines, Japanese Navy US-2), JMSDF Kanoya (including P-1, SH-60), JMSDF Omura (SH-60), JSDF Saga (MV-22) and more from the fence. In addition, we will include the air shows at Nyutabaru and Tsuiki to our schedule!

4Aviation did similar tours in 2023 and 2025 and the reports picture perfectly what to expect. This tour can be described as a photo tour, focussing on opportunities for photography. This means that enough time is scheduled for the best pictures.

Itinerary

The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.

On Friday 27 November 2026 we will fly to Japan and return to the Netherlands on Tuesday 8 December 2026.

The plan at this moment is as follows:

  • Start with the air show at Tsuiki
  • Spend time at Ozuki, Hofu, Iwakuni, Ashiya, Tsuiki, Omura, Saga, Kanoya
  • Visit the air show at Nyutabaru
  • End the tour with spending time at Metabaru and Ashiya

Tour cost

Price for this tour is € 3599,- per person. This price includes:

  • Flight from The Netherlands to Japan
  • Flight from Japan to The Netherlands
  • Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
  • All transportation in Japan
  • € 9,- contribution to GGTO

You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Japan. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 2299,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 325,-.

Not included:

  • individual travel insurance
  • entrance fees for museums or airshows
  • all meals
  • all personal expenditures
