Itinerary
The itinerary that follows is to be considered as preliminary.
On Thursday 27 June we will fly to Moscow (possibly making one stop on our way there) and return to the Netherlands on Wednesday 3 July 2019.
We will then head for ARMY on 3 days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday (28, 29 and 30 June) are expected to be public days.
During these days you can visit the 3 different locations (the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Centre terrain, the Alabino training ground and Kubinka air base).
On Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July we will return to Kubinka to capture the departure of (a large part of) the participants. For now we will do this from outside the fence. Last year we only went to Kubinka on Monday after the event. That was an awesome experience, but we found out that some of the aircraft do not leave until Tuesday. Therefore we plan to go to Kubinka on Tuesday as well this year.
We have deliberately chosen a somewhat longer tour to give you the option to see and do a lot. ARMY consists of several items and it is very interesting to have a look at Alabino for instance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrAf6euIcVA).
The museum in Monino is still open and certainly worth a visit (on Friday, Saturday or Sunday). For those that are interested in visiting this museum during the tour we can organise combined transportation. We can discuss arrangements and payment while we are in Moscow. The city of Moscow is very beautiful and interesting. Planning a day to venture into the city is recommended as well.
During the tour you will stay in 2 different hotels. One hotel is within the city (very close to a metro station). The other is closer to Kubinka. This enables you to visit Moscow as well as not being confronted by the heavy traffic in Moscow on all days.
For a visit to Russia visa is required. You have to apply for this visa yourself, 4Aviation will however provide the visa support letter. Please refer to the information the Russian Embassy provides in your own country.
Tour cost
Price for this tour is € 864,- per person. This price includes:
- Flight from The Netherlands to Russia
- Flight from Russia to The Netherlands
- Hotel accommodation (middle class hotels, twin share room basis, two beds and ensuite bathroom)
- All transportation in Russia
- € 15,- contribution to GGTO
You can also book this tour without the airline tickets. In that case you will have to take care of the transportation to and from Russia. The price for the tour without airline tickets is € 624,- per person. The single-room supplement for this tour is € 250,-.
